Mariwo Natural

Most of the rural communities in Western part of Nigeria are predominantly forest community. It is however saddens that larger percentage of them cannot enjoy the benefits of forest as a result of huge deforestation and prolong poor agricultural practices in the communities.  In same light as well, some of the communities lacks basic infrastructure, some are battling with huge number of out of school children as a result of the low economic state of the farmers resulting from poor yield while some are battling with both. The low farm yield has even discouraged most of the farmers majority of which are now engaging in menial labour works in the cities to sustain their livelihoods while the adventurous youths among them are seeking opportunity for illegal migration. We are therefore addressing the problem from the roots by first tackling the land degradation through Sustainable Agricultural Land Management (SALM).

Mariwo Natural

Project Mariwo Natural is working with farmers in rural communities on forest conservation, improve rural livelihood and agro-economy. We are using Sustainable Agricultural Land Management (SALM) cum our Food Forest Concept to achieve the above objectives. With our resolve for massive collaboration in production, market development, supply chain and logistics across rural communities and states in Nigeria to reduce the effect of food insecurity. Our trained youths currently work with rural farmers in Mariwo, Ero, Ilara, Barawo, Ayepe, Dagbolu and Oke-Ola communities on implementing sustainable agricultural practices and managing same while also initiating the infrastructural development of these communities. All produce from all these communities are still being sold under a single Brand Name.
