What are the Roles of IT/SIWES Students At Lead Transformation

At Lead Transformation Initiative, no two days are the same. Every day comes with its uniqueness both in the in-class and on-site training. So, as an IT/SIWES student, your typical duties may include:

  • In-class training
  • Project research
  • Outreach on some of our projects especially Gender RIDE
  • Extension services for rural farmers
  • Advocacy and awareness campaign through our project House of Opinion
  • Training of rural kids through our project Smart Farmers Kid
  •  Field works like crop plantation setup or management such as Land mapping, planting, harvesting or crop management. (we have farm workers and machinery that do the heavy part of the work)
  • Market development
  • Feeding of livestock
  • Stocktaking
  • Product sales
  • Processing, packaging or branding of produce

Our Agriculture Internship Placement Process in Akure

Due to inconsistency in the academic calendar of higher institutions in Nigeria, our internship application process is open all year round.

We however have two major intakes per year: the January- June cohort and July-December cohort.

Application procedure

The application process for our agriculture internship place in Akure is entirely online. You submit your interest for an internship online and we find your request interesting we will get across to you on the next step.

Selection criteria

The selection process for the internship is very competitive. Therefore, every applicant must put forward their best legs to increase their chance of being considered for acceptance.

Internship duration and schedule

There is no fixed duration for our internship. However, the maximum duration per cohort is 6 months.
